The images entered in the 2018 Salish Sea in Focus Photography Competition celebrate the beauty and biodiversity of the Salish Sea. We thank all of the photographers who shared their vision of this important marine ecosystem and continue to feature them for your viewing pleasure.
The Salish Sea is an inland sea that includes Puget Sound, the San Juan Islands and the waters off of Vancouver, B.C.. It spans from Olympia, Washington in the south to the Campbell River, British Columbia in the north, and west to Neah Bay. (REGION MAP: http://www.seadocsociety.org/salish-sea-facts/ )
The contest was presented by the SeaDoc Society, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. SeaDoc has worked since 2001 to protect and improve the health of marine wildlife and its ecosystem through science and education.
